Our office is situated in the Jantar Mantar Flats on Amrawati Road, right near LIT College in Nagpur. It’s a well-known spot in this part of the city. Being in A 11, we are right in the thick of things. Nagpur gets incredibly hot, so we rely on the fans and the old coolers to stay focused on the paperwork. This isn't the mine site itself, but rather the administrative side where the records are kept and the planning happens. You’ll see plenty of files stacked up on the desks and people coming in and out with various permits and reports. The building has that older feel to it, with thick walls and high ceilings that help a bit with the heat. We hear the college students outside sometimes, which reminds us how busy the road is. Our work involves a lot of coordination with the sites further out. There’s always a ledger to update or a phone call to take regarding the ore shipments. It’s a steady kind of life here. We aren't trying to be fancy; we just have a lot of data to manage and people to talk to. Most of us have been working here for years, so we have our routines with the morning tea and the lunch break under the trees nearby. It’s just a standard government-linked office doing its daily bit for the industry. We just keep the ledgers updated and make sure the phone is always answered.
