As A Receptionist

This is where Sanjivani Ambadas Nemade works. The desk is set up behind Manewada Ring Road in the Vinkar Colony area of Nagpur. It’s specifically in MIG 11 2. Being a receptionist here means being the first person people see when they walk in. It’s a lot of answering the same questions and making sure everyone gets to where they are supposed to be. The phone rings quite a bit throughout the day. Nagpur can get really hot so the office is usually a bit of a relief from the sun for everyone. I spend my time organizing the files and making sure the schedule doesn't get messed up. It’s not a complicated job but it is an important one because if the front desk is a mess, everything else starts to fall apart too. People in Vinkar Colony are mostly regulars so you get to know their faces and their families. I keep a small notebook for all the messages that come in when someone is away from their desk. Sometimes it gets a little hectic when three people walk in at once and the phone starts buzzing on the hook. You just have to stay calm and take care of one person at a time. It’s a steady pace here and I like the routine of it. I've been doing this for long enough that I don't need to look at the map anymore.
