Lakshmi Engineering Works

Lakshmi Engineering Works is based in K-7 MIDC Butibori. This is a big industrial zone, so we are surrounded by other factories and workshops. Our place is one of the many units where the real heavy work happens. We have various machines for engineering tasks, and they take up most of the space. It’s not the kind of place where you’d want to wear your best clothes because you’re likely to get a bit of grease on them. We don't have a fancy entrance or any decorations. It’s all about the machines and the output. The noise can be a lot sometimes, but you get used to it after a while. We work in shifts, so the place is often busy from early morning until late. The guys here are skilled, but they aren't the type to brag about it. We just take the drawings we get and turn them into whatever parts are needed. It’s a very practical environment. We don't have a big corporate board or anything like that. It’s just the owner and the workers all together on the floor. We eat our lunch together and talk about the machines or what’s happening in the news. It’s a simple life in the industrial belt. We focus on getting the dimensions right and making sure the machines are running smooth. That’s really all there is to it at our workshop. We just keep our heads down and finish the orders that come in from the bigger companies nearby.
