Kutz Academy is located on the second floor of NMC House, No 65, right on Mount Road in Sadar Bazar. If you’re looking for us in Nagpur, we are directly opposite Shivalik Furniture. It’s a busy part of the city, especially with all the shops and people moving around Sadar. We teach hair, beauty, and makeup here. The academy is basically a set of rooms filled with styling chairs, mirrors, and practice heads. It’s usually smelling of hairspray and shampoo. We have students coming in every day to learn the basics and the more advanced stuff. It’s a hands-on place, so it’s rarely quiet. There’s always someone practicing a haircut or trying out a new makeup look. We aren’t a giant corporate school. It’s more of a local training spot where we show people how to actually do the work. The building itself is an older one, but our floor is set up specifically for the classes. We spend our time going from one student to the next, correcting their grip on the scissors or showing them how to blend colors. It’s tiring being on your feet all day, but it’s good to see people pick up the skills. We don’t use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just teach the trade so people can go out and find work in salons or start their own. It's noisy but productive.
