K P Instruments

We have been running K P Instruments out of our spot at 133A Ramnagar for quite some time now. Nagpur is home for us, and this neighborhood is where we do all our daily work. The shop isn't anything fancy to look at, just a practical space filled with different types of tools and measuring devices that people need for their technical projects. Most mornings start with opening the shutters and sweeping out the dust that settles overnight. We keep a lot of things in stock on the metal racks, but every now and then, someone asks for something rare and we have to dig through old catalogs to find it. My brother and I usually handle everything ourselves. We don’t have a big team or a human resources department. It’s just us answering the phone and packing boxes. The traffic on the street outside can get pretty loud during the afternoons, but we’ve gotten used to it. Sometimes the neighbors pop in just to chat or ask for a screwdriver. We try to keep things simple and honest. If a piece of equipment isn't right for what a customer is doing, we tell them. There is no point in selling someone the wrong thing just to make a quick buck. We’ve seen a lot of changes in the Ramnagar area over the years, but 133A has stayed pretty much the same. It's a bit cramped with all the boxes, but it works for us. We'll probably be here for many more years to come.
