Jan Purti Foundation

Jan Purti Foundation is located in the MHADA Colony on Nari Road. Specifically, we are at Quarter Number 967 in Building Number 62. It’s a large residential area, so there’s always something going on outside our windows. We chose this spot because it puts us right in the heart of where people live. The office is basically one of the quarters converted for our foundation work. It feels more like a home than a workplace, which is how we like it. We have some shelves filled with documents and a few chairs for when people come to talk to us. We handle a lot of different things for the foundation, mostly just trying to keep things moving forward. Nagpur can be a hectic place, but inside the colony, it’s a bit more relaxed. We don't have a big fancy sign or a lobby with a receptionist. Usually, you just knock on the door and one of us will let you in. We spend our days answering questions and filling out forms. It’s not glamorous, but it’s the work that needs doing. Being in the 440026 zip code, we see all kinds of people from different walks of life. We don’t put on airs or try to act like we’re a big national organization. We’re just a local foundation doing our bit right here on Nari Road in Maharashtra, and we're okay with staying small.
