Global Logistics

Our spot is in Itwari, right on Old Balaji Mandir Road. If you know Nagpur, you know this area is always packed with people and vehicles. We are very close to the Hanuman Mandir, so you can hear the bells and the general commotion from the street all day long. Global Logistics is basically just us handling the paperwork and coordinating the trucks coming through this part of town. The 440002 zip code is one of the busiest trading areas around here. Our office isn't much to look at, just a few desks, some filing cabinets, and a lot of maps on the wall. It’s a dusty part of the city, and we are constantly cleaning the windows. Most of the guys here have been working in logistics for years, so we don't need much instruction. We just get the jobs done and deal with the drivers as they come in. The tea stall around the corner is where most of us end up twice a day for a break. It’s a bit of a maze getting here with all the narrow lanes and the carts, but it’s home for us. Sometimes the monsoon makes the road outside a bit of a mess with puddles, but we manage to stay on schedule. It's hard work, and the phones never seem to stop ringing. We just take it one load at a time. No big speeches or anything, just keeping the goods moving through Nagpur like everyone else in this neighborhood.
