Geotech Services is out at Plot No.X-18 in the MIDC Industrial Area on Hingna Road. Being in an industrial zone means it’s always loud with trucks and machinery nearby, but that’s just how it is. Our building is pretty functional. We have the testing equipment in one section and some desks in another. We do testing and analysis on soil and rocks, mostly for construction companies that are building things. It’s messy work sometimes. You can’t really keep a floor perfectly clean when you’re bringing in dirt samples all day long. We wear boots and work clothes most of the time. It isn't a place for fancy shoes or ties. The air outside always smells a bit like diesel and dust. We usually start quite early to beat the heat, especially in the summer months. Most of us have been working together for a long time, so we don't need to say much to get the day started. We have our routine. Check the samples, run the tests, write the reports. It’s honest work and it keeps the bills paid. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. People find us because they need their ground tested and they know we are here in the industrial park. It’s a bit of a drive from the city center, but we like being where the work is. It suits us just fine.
