Encon Systems

Working at Encon Systems means being out near the Khaperkheda Thermal Power Station. Our address is D 42 4 in Khaperkheda, Nagpur. It’s an industrial kind of place, as you can imagine. We handle systems work, which involves a lot of technical details that most people would find pretty boring. The air around here is what it is, given the power station is right there. We are used to it by now. The office is a practical space. We don't have any fancy decorations on the walls, just calendars and maybe a few old photos. It’s a lot of manual work and checking on things to make sure they are running right. Nagpur gets really hot, so the fans are always going in the summer. We mostly keep to ourselves and focus on the tasks at hand. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s important for the area. We see a lot of the same people every day, which is nice. There’s a sense of community among the workers out here. We just keep our tools ready and our eyes on the monitors. If something needs fixing or setting up, we are the ones who handle it. That’s the life at Encon Systems. No more, no less. We just get on with it every morning without much fuss. The station is always there in the background, hummin' along, and we just do the same at our desks. It’s steady.
