Bhumi Engineers

Our office is tucked away at Purnimal House in Kirana Bazaar. Being near Nagpur, this bazaar is a very busy place, full of the smell of spices and grains. It’s a bit unusual to have an engineering setup right in the middle of a grocery market, but it’s where we’ve always been. We occupy a small section of the building, and you have to navigate through the carts and the delivery trucks to get to us. Inside, it’s a lot quieter than the street, though we still hear the shouting of the vendors outside. We work on various engineering designs and plans here. It’s mostly desk work and some small assembly stuff. We aren't a big firm with hundreds of people. It’s just a handful of us who know our way around a blueprint. We’ve known the other shop owners in Kirana Bazaar for years, and we often get our lunch from the stalls just around the corner. The space is a bit cramped because we have a lot of old files and equipment that we can’t quite bring ourselves to throw away. It’s a comfortable place to work, even if it’s a bit cluttered. We don’t put on any acts for visitors; we’re just here doing our jobs in the middle of the market. It’s a bit dusty and the stairs are steep, but it is home for us.
