Our spot is at 77 A Tapowan Complex in Somalwada, right on Wardha Road. If you know Nagpur, you know how busy Wardha Road can get with all the traffic heading towards the airport or the city center. The Tapowan Complex is a bit of a landmark around here. We spend our days watching the cars go by through the front glass. It’s usually quite hot in Nagpur, so we keep the AC running as much as we can, though it struggles sometimes in the peak of May. People come in from the heat looking for a bit of shade and to get their banking done. We see a lot of commuters and people who live in the Somalwada ward. The office is pretty straightforward. We have the usual counters and a few chairs for people to wait in. We don’t bother with fancy decorations. We’ve got our regular customers who come in every week, and we know their names and their usual business. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the generator to kick in, which is just part of living in 440025. We just stay at our posts and handle the deposits and withdrawals. It’s a steady job in a busy part of town. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to make sure everyone’s money is where it should be. The day ends, the traffic slows down a bit, and we head back to our own lives.
