Nagaon Farmer Producer Company Limited

Nagaon is a busy place, and Borkola is no different. Our little operation, Nagaon Farmer Producer Company Limited, is run out of Tajbir Singh’s place in Singh Gaon. It is right in the Nagaon Sadar area, so we are pretty close to everything. We have been at this for a while now, just local folks trying to get our farming business in order. It is not a glamorous job, mostly just dealing with the daily grind of the fields and making sure the trucks are loaded right. The address 782144 is where you will find us if you need to talk business, though it is mostly just a place to store things and keep the books. We don't use any big words or have any grand plans. We just want to make sure that the hard work we put into the ground actually results in something we can sell. The weather in Assam can be unpredictable, so we spend a lot of time worrying about the rain. Tajbir has been a great help in keeping everyone focused. We have a lot of different people involved, each bringing their own bit of knowledge about the land. It is a community effort more than anything else. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning, just a ceiling fan and some cold water. If you want to see what we do, you have to come out to the fields.
