Sri Nanjundeswara Cement Bricks

We are set up on the Srirangapatna Bypass Road, right in the Coorgal Industrial Area in Yelwal. One of the easiest ways to find us is to look for the Power Grid Station, as we are quite close to that. The bypass road is always humming with the sound of long-distance trucks and buses passing by. We make cement bricks here, so our yard is full of gray stacks and the smell of wet concrete. Every morning we start by watering down the bricks that were made the day before to help them set right. It is a wet and messy job, especially when the hoses leak. We have a lot of space out here, which is nice because we can spread things out. The wind blows pretty hard across the open area, which helps dry the bricks but also carries a lot of dust into the small shed we use as an office. We don't have a lot of workers, just a small crew that has been with us for a while. We know the local builders and the people from the nearby villages who come to us when they are putting up a new wall or a small shed. It is steady work, and we just take it one day at a time, watching the traffic go by on the bypass and making sure our stacks are ready for the next truck. We don't do much marketing, just daily work.
