Sh Brick Industries

The yard is located at No.12/E in Lingambudi Palya, right in the Srirampura area. It's easy to find if you know the landmarks, though the sign is a bit faded now. We mostly deal with local builders and people who are just trying to fix up their own homes. The ground here is always covered in red dust, and you can’t really keep your boots clean for more than five minutes. We have a small crew of guys who have been with us for years. They know the rhythm of the work better than anyone. We wake up, check the inventory, and start loading the tractors. It gets noisy when the machinery is running, so we usually talk a bit louder than most folks. Srirampura has changed a lot since we first set up shop. There are more houses now, which keeps us busy. We don't do much fancy advertising; people just know we're here. Sometimes a neighbor will stop by just to chat or ask about prices. We keep a ledger on the old wooden table near the gate. It's a bit disorganized, but we know where everything is. The sun sets right behind the main stack of bricks, which is probably the best part of the day. Then we lock up, head home, and do it all again tomorrow. It’s just a regular life, making things that people need for their walls and roofs.
