Chethan Bricks

Chethan Bricks is situated at 3-4-628, Krs Road, right in the heart of the Metagalli Industrial Estate. It is a very busy part of Metagalli and the road outside is always full of trucks carrying all sorts of things. We have a good amount of space here but it always feels a bit cramped because of how many bricks we have piled up. We spend most of our time loading and unloading. It’s physical work and it keeps you in shape, that’s for sure. I’ve been working here for years and I know every corner of this yard. The dust from the KRS road settles on everything, so we are always wiping down the desks in the small shack we use as an office. We don't really have a regular schedule, we just work until the job is done for the day. Sometimes that means staying late when a big truck shows up near closing time. The people who work here are mostly from the local area and we’ve become like a small family over time. We don't have any fancy mission statements or things like that on the walls. We just have a calendar and a list of names. It’s a straightforward business where we focus on the task at hand and try not to let the stress get to us. We just keep the yard running the best we can every day.
