Sankar Soda

Sankar Soda is located on Turkha Road in Hanumantpura. It’s a simple spot where we make and sell our drinks. We’ve been here for a long time and the neighborhood knows us well. The shop is on a corner and it gets a lot of dust from the road, but we try to keep things as tidy as we can. It’s a small operation. Usually, it’s just one or two of us working the machines and serving whoever stops by. We don’t have a big fancy menu or anything. People know what we have and they come for it. The machines are old and they make a lot of noise, but they still work fine. We spend most of our time out front talking to people while they have their drinks. It’s a good way to stay connected to what’s happening in Hanumantpura. We don't do any marketing or online stuff. We just open the doors in the morning and wait for the regulars to show up. Some days are very busy, especially when it’s hot outside and everyone is thirsty. Other days, we just sit on the stools and watch the cars go by on Turkha Road. It is a modest business, but it keeps us going and we like being our own bosses. It’s just how things are at Sankar Soda. We aren't trying to become a huge corporation or anything. It's just local work.
