Cafe Coffee Day - Gejjalagere

Our place, Cafe Coffee Day - Gejjalagere, is right on the Bangalore Mysore Highway 2. You will find us next to the IOC Petrol Pump. It’s a handy spot if you are driving between the two cities and need a break. The highway is always noisy and there is a lot of dust from the cars going by all day. We get a lot of people who are just tired of being in the car and need to stretch their legs. It is not a quiet cafe in some library. We are near that "bestine break" area people talk about. Most of the time we are just making quick coffees or getting snacks ready for travelers who are in a huge hurry to get to Mysore or Bangalore. The staff here knows how it goes with the highway crowd. Someone walks in, looks a bit sleepy, grabs a drink, and they are gone. We keep the place running late and start very early. It’s a simple building. Sometimes the coffee machine acts up but we fix it and keep going. We don’t put on any airs here because everyone is just passing through. It’s a practical location for a stop. We see bikes, cars, and big buses all day long. The Mysore stretch can be long so we are glad to be here. We just do our work and keep the place open for whoever needs a seat for twenty minutes before they go.
