The Cafe Mellifluous

The Cafe Mellifluous is at number 917 on New Kantharaj Urs Road. We are in the Saraswathipuram area of Mysore, zip code 570009. To find us, you just need to look opposite the Suzuki showroom. We are also very close to the Apollo Hospital Circle, which is a major landmark around here. Running a cafe in Saraswathipuram means we get a lot of people from the neighborhood and folks visiting the hospital. It’s a pretty simple place. We make coffee and food and try to keep the tables from wobbling. We aren't a big chain, just a local cafe on a busy road. The staff is small, usually just a couple of us working at a time. It gets noisy with the traffic from New Kantharaj Urs Road, but that is part of being in this part of Mysore. We spend a lot of time cleaning the floors and making sure the machines are working right. We don't have any big mission statements or corporate goals. We just want to keep the place open and serve the people who walk in. Most of our customers know us by now since we’ve been across from that showroom for a while. It’s a lot of work, but it’s what we do. If you are near the Apollo Hospital Circle, you will probably see our door. It’s just a regular cafe where we do our best to keep things running.
