Sandal Rose Convent

You can find Sandal Rose Convent out at Salundi, which is on the HD Kote Road near the Manandavadi Road in Mysore. It’s a bit of a distance from the main city center, so it feels more like its own little community. The 570008 area is quite different from the busy markets. We have a simple setup here for the students. It’s a convent school, so it’s got that quiet, disciplined atmosphere you’d expect. The building itself is plain and practical. We don't go in for anything too decorative. Most of our day is spent making sure the students are in their classes and that the teachers have what they need. There is a lot of space around the school, which is a bit different from the schools in the middle of Mysore. We deal with the usual things like keeping the grounds tidy and making sure the water tanks are full. It's a lot of physical work along with the teaching. People who live in the Salundi area rely on us being here. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything like that; we just exist to provide schooling to the local kids. The road can be a bit rough sometimes, but we are used to it by now. It’s just a regular place where people come to work and learn. We open the doors every morning and do the same things we did the day before.
