Hotel Maharajas

You will find Hotel Maharajas on the first floor of the Maharaja Shopping Complex. It is right on B N Road in Mysore, literally just across from the KSRTC bus stand. Because we are so close to the buses, it stays pretty lively around here. You can hear the conductors shouting and the engines running from early in the morning. Being on the first floor means guests have to walk up a bit, but it’s not too bad. The shopping complex has different stores downstairs, so there are always people moving about. We get many travelers who just stepped off a long bus ride and need a place to sit down. The rooms are basic and don't have much decoration. We have some chairs in the common area where people wait if they get here before their room is ready. The 570001 area is quite convenient if you are trying to see the city or catch another bus the next day. We spend our mornings checking the linens and making sure the bathrooms are okay. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so you might see the same few faces every day. We don't have a fancy elevator or anything, just the stairs and the rooms. It’s a practical place for someone who doesn’t want to spend too much or walk too far from the station. The walls are mostly plain, and we keep the ledger on the front desk to track who comes and goes.
