Hotel Meenakshi Bhavan

Hotel Meenakshi Bhavan is located at No.60/3 on Ramavilas Road in Mysore. It’s an old street, and things haven't changed much around here in years. The address is 570004 if you’re looking for it on a map. We have a lot of people walking by all day. Some stop in, some are just heading to the markets nearby. The building isn't anything special to look at, just a regular place where people stay the night. We keep the keys behind the desk like most places. The fans in the rooms hum quite a bit when they’re on high. It can get dusty because of the traffic on Ramavilas Road, so there is always someone sweeping the front steps. Most of our guests are just looking for a spot to sleep before they head out to see the palace or whatever else they have planned. We don’t have fancy rugs or anything, just plain floors that are easy to mop. Sometimes the water pressure is a bit low in the mornings when everyone is waking up at the same time. You can hear the city waking up early, usually around five or six. It's just how life is in this part of Mysore. We don't spend much time on decorations. The walls are mostly white and the furniture is heavy wood that’s been around for a long time. It works for what it is. We try to be helpful if someone asks for directions, but mostly we just let people go about their own business.
