Heritage Resort Coorg

Our place is at 5/114 Mahadevpet in Madikeri. Being in Coorg, we’re surrounded by a lot of greenery and the smell of coffee. The resort isn't a giant luxury complex; it's more like a collection of rooms that feel a bit more traditional. We have to deal with a lot of rain here, so the walls sometimes get those damp patches we have to keep fixing. The staff are mostly local people from around Madikeri who know the area well. We spend our time looking after the grounds and making sure the kitchen has enough supplies. It’s a bit of a climb to get to some parts of the property. We don't have a big corporate office; the manager usually sits in a small room near the entrance. Sometimes the wild plants grow faster than we can trim them back. We don't have fancy uniforms, just regular clothes that are easy to work in. People come here because they want to see the hills, so we just let the scenery do the work. The rooms are simple with basic furniture. We spend a lot of time cleaning up after the monsoon seasons. It’s a lot of manual work, sweeping leaves and checking the roof tiles. We don't use much marketing, mostly people just find us or heard about us from someone else who stayed here before.
