Zenith Steel Pipes

Zenith Steel Pipes is over at Nariman Point in Dalamal House, room 206. J.B. Marg is usually packed with cars and people. It’s a well-known building in a very busy part of Mumbai. We’ve been here for quite a while now. We deal with steel pipes, which is a pretty basic but necessary business. The office is functional. We have rows of desks and a lot of files. We don’t really do anything fancy with the decor. It’s more about the work than the look of the place. We talk to vendors, handle the exports, and manage the local distribution. Sometimes the elevators in the building take forever, so we have to plan ahead. The team is professional but we aren't stiff. We talk about the cricket scores while we wait for the computers to load. We don’t have a mission statement or anything like that. We just want to make sure the pipes we sell are good quality and get to where they need to go. It’s a lot of logistics and paperwork. We don't spend money on big ads. We just rely on the fact that we've been doing this for years. It’s a typical office environment in South Mumbai. We work hard and then head home in the local trains. On Fridays, some of us might go for a walk near the sea before catching the train back home. It's just part of our routine.
