Our business, Steel Wire India, is tucked away at 17/19 in Kanti Bhuvan on 1st Parsiwada Lane. If you’ve ever been down this lane, you know how tight it is. It’s an old building with a lot of character, though the stairs can be a bit of a climb. We work mostly with steel wires of different types. The workshop area is usually full of coils and cutting tools. It’s a noisy environment, but we’ve all gotten used to the sound of the metal. We don't have a fancy reception area. Usually, if you walk in, you’ll just see someone working at a bench or checking a ledger. We’ve been here for a long time, so we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. The lane gets very busy with deliveries, and sometimes it’s a real struggle to move the heavier coils in and out. We don’t bother with much marketing or big signs. Most of our work comes from people who have known us for years. We just keep our heads down and do the work. The floor is often dusty, and your hands will definitely get dirty if you stay too long. We have a small corner where we keep a kettle for making tea. It’s a basic setup, but it’s what we need to get through the day. We aren’t trying to be some massive corporation. We just want to provide what people ask for and keep the business running steadily. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know best.
