Zaveri Metal House

Our shop is located at 56, Abdul Rehman Street. If you know the area, you know how crowded it gets. Zaveri Metal House has been on this street for years. It’s a narrow building, and we’re packed in tight with all the metal stock. Sometimes it’s hard to even move around inside when a big shipment arrives. The street outside is always full of carts and people rushing around. It’s loud, but we’re used to it. We spend most of our time counting stock or moving heavy pieces. There’s no air conditioning, so we just keep the fans going. We don’t have a website or anything like that. People just walk in or call us. The neighborhood has a lot of history, and we’re just one small part of it. We keep the books by hand mostly. It’s a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us. Abdul Rehman Street is a tough place to work sometimes, but we like being right in the thick of the market. We know the neighbors and the tea stall guy down the way. Every morning starts the same way, opening the shutters and checking what needs to go out. We don’t try to be something we’re not. It’s just a metal shop. We handle what comes our way and go home at the end of the day. It is a lot of physical work, but we are used to the heavy lifting by now.
