Our office is on the second floor of Apna Ghar, unit 201, right on Filmcity Road in Malad East. This part of Mumbai is always moving, especially with all the studio activity nearby. You can hear the traffic and the general city noise all day long. We have been based in this building for quite some time. It is not a brand-new glass skyscraper; it is an older building that has a bit of character to it. Inside, the office is spread out with various departments. We handle a lot of administrative and group-level tasks here. It is a lot of paperwork, meetings, and coordination between different people. We do not have a fancy cafe inside the office, so most of us go out to the local spots on Filmcity Road when we need a break. The lift in Apna Ghar can be a bit moody sometimes, so we often just walk up to the second floor. It is a busy place with people coming and going all the time. We are not trying to be anything we are not. This is just where the work happens every day. The desks are covered in files and the walls have some old calendars on them. It is a lived-in space. We know the security guards and the other people working in the building. It is a community of sorts. Our daily life here is just about getting through the to-do list and making sure everything runs right.
