Wire Metal Products is based in Girgaon, tucked away at 24 Fanaswadi in the Jalimsingh Building. Girgaon is an old part of the city, and you can really feel that history when you walk through the halls of the building. Our workshop is a bit gritty and noisy, as you might expect from a place that deals with metal. There’s always the sound of clanking and the smell of raw materials in the air. We don’t have a fancy showroom; it’s mostly just a workspace filled with tools and piles of products. Jalimsingh Building has seen better days, but it’s sturdy and serves us well for what we need to do. Fanaswadi is a narrow lane, so getting supplies in and out can be a bit of a challenge sometimes. We’ve learned how to manage the tight spaces over the years. It’s not a job for someone who wants to stay clean all day, but we don’t mind getting our hands dirty. The people working here are just regular guys who know their way around metal. We don’t bother with big ads or flashy signs. People who need what we make usually find their way to us through word of mouth or by just knowing the neighborhood. It’s a practical, no-nonsense kind of business in a very traditional part of Girgaon, and we plan on staying right here at number 24 for the foreseeable future.
