Pprakash Metal

Pprakash Metal is situated in Wadala West, inside the Sriram Industrial Estate. We are at No. 205, which is on one of the upper floors. The estate is a very busy hub with a lot of different businesses, so the elevators are always occupied and the stairs are usually the faster way to get up. Our space is filled with the sounds of metal being moved around. It’s not a quiet office environment. We deal with various metal products, so you’ll see stacks of rods or sheets leaning against the walls. The air is heavy with the smell of iron and dust. We have a small cabin for the paperwork, but most of the time we are out on the floor checking the stock or talking to the laborers. The windows look out over the rooftops of Wadala, which is quite a view if you have a minute to look. We get a lot of regulars who know exactly where we are in the building. It’s a bit of a maze in Sriram Industrial Estate if you’re new, but we like it here. There’s a good energy in the building. We start our day early to beat the heavy traffic in Wadala and we usually stay until late evening. It’s a gritty, practical place where we just focus on the inventory and making sure the orders are correct before they go down the freight lift. It is hard work but we are used to it.
