Om Impex

If you come down to the Wadala Station Market, you’ll find us at number 28 on RA Kidwai Road. It’s right in the middle of all the market noise and activity. Being near the station means there is always a crowd outside. We’ve been here at Om Impex for a long time. Our shop is small, but it’s where we do all our business. We deal with imports, mostly handling the logistics and local distribution side of things. It’s a very hands-on job. You’ll often see us moving things around or talking to delivery drivers right on the street. It’s not a fancy office with air conditioning that works perfectly all the time, but it’s ours. We know most of the other shopkeepers around here. It feels like a community. We don’t have a website that’s updated every day or a big social media presence. We just do our work and talk to our customers face-to-face or on the phone. Sometimes the monsoon makes the market a bit of a mess, but we just put out the sandbags and keep going. It’s a practical way to live. We value the relationships we’ve built over the years in this neighborhood. It’s just us doing what we know best in Wadala West. We are usually around from early morning until the market starts closing up for the night.
