Amco International is based at 21 Gurukrupa Apartment on N.C. Kelkar Road. We are right across from Shivaji Park in Dadar West, so it’s a very familiar neighborhood for us. Our office is just a regular room in the apartment building where we handle all our paperwork and phone calls. We don’t have a big fancy sign outside or a glass-walled boardroom. Most of our day is spent on the phone or the computer, dealing with the logistics of moving goods. Dadar is always crowded and noisy, but once you come inside the apartment, it’s a bit calmer. We’ve been here for a long time and have seen the park change over the years. Our work is mostly about coordinating things and making sure the documentation is right for our shipments. We don't have a warehouse here; this is just where the planning happens. There are stacks of files on the desks and the tea kettle is usually running. It’s a small team, so everyone does a bit of everything, from answering the door to filing papers. We aren't trying to look bigger than we are. We just do our work, talk to our contacts, and head home when the day is over. The location is convenient for us, and we like being in this part of Mumbai. It’s a straightforward business without any extra fluff or corporate layers. We don't take ourselves too seriously, we just make sure the jobs get finished before the weekend starts.
