Vrinda Bright Steel

If you head down 3rd Khetwadi Lane, you’ll find Vrinda Bright Steel at 25-C, Tara Bhavan. It’s a typical old Mumbai building with a lot of character and some very narrow hallways. We’ve been tucked away in this spot for quite a while now. Bright steel is what we do, which mostly means a lot of rods and bars stacked up against the walls. The space is fairly small, so we have to be very organized with how we store things. It gets a bit dusty, and the smell of metal is always around, but we don’t mind it at all. We mostly deal with small workshops and local manufacturers who need specific sizes for their projects. The light in Tara Bhavan isn't the best, so we have to use extra lamps to check the finishes on the steel pieces. Dealing with the traffic in Khetwadi is always a challenge, especially when a truck needs to unload in the lane. We know all the other businesses around here, so we usually manage to coordinate things without too much trouble. We don't have a big sales team or anything like that. It’s just a few of us making sure the orders are cut right and sent out on time. It’s a simple operation, really. We open up early, get through the paperwork, and see who stops by throughout the day.
