Our office is on the first floor of Rajni Kunj, which is on M.G. Road in Kandivali West. We are right across from the Dena Bank, so it’s a very busy part of town. There is always a lot of noise coming up from the street below. We deal with refractories, which are the materials used to line furnaces and stuff that gets really hot. Since we are in an office building, we don't do the manufacturing here. We spend our time on the phones, talking to factory owners and checking on order statuses. It can get pretty crowded in our small office when we have stacks of technical manuals and brick samples lying around. We’ve been here for quite some time, and the staff is just a small group of people who have been in this industry for a long time. We aren't big on fancy titles or corporate rules. We just come in, do the work, and go home. Sometimes the lift in the building breaks down, so we have to use the stairs, which isn't great in the heat. We usually grab tea from the stall downstairs in the afternoon. It’s a specific kind of business and it keeps us busy enough. We just try to make sure the right materials get to the right plants without too much trouble.
