Our spot is on Singh Estate Road No.1, right in the middle of Thakur Village in Kandivali East. If you know Mumbai, you know it’s always busy around here. The office gets quite a lot of light in the mornings, which is nice until it gets too hot. We spend a lot of our time looking at screens or checking on the display prints coming out. It’s not a huge space, so we end up bumping into each other a lot when things get hectic. Most of the guys here live nearby, so we talk about the local trains or the traffic on the Western Express Highway quite a bit. There’s a tea stall just down the road that everyone visits around four. We do a lot of the usual display work, nothing that’s going to change the world, but it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes the couriers get lost trying to find Singh Estate, so we spend half the day on the phone giving directions. It gets noisy with the traffic outside, but you eventually stop noticing it after a few months. The walls are covered with old samples and some calendars that are a few years out of date. We just keep moving along with whatever project is on the table that week. It’s a decent place with people who just want to do their jobs and go home to their families. We’ve been here for years now and the routine just works for us.
