We’re located on the 11th floor of the Air India Building, right at Nariman Point in Mumbai. It’s a famous spot, but for us, it’s just where we come to work every morning. The view of the sea is nice when you have a minute to look out the window, but mostly we are looking at our computer screens. The elevators in this building can be slow during the morning rush, so a lot of us end up chatting while we wait. It’s a big operation, with rows and rows of desks and people typing away. Mumbai is always loud and fast, and that energy kind of follows us into the office. We deal with a lot of data and code, trying to solve problems for people all over. It’s not like a factory where you see physical things being built, but it’s still hard work. We drink a lot of coffee from the machine in the breakroom. Sometimes the air conditioning is a bit too cold, so you’ll see people wearing sweaters even when it’s boiling outside in Nariman Point. We don't have a lot of wall decorations, just some whiteboards with scribbles that only make sense to the person who wrote them. It’s a busy environment, everyone has their own headset on, and we just try to get through the daily tasks before heading back out into the Mumbai traffic. It is just life in the city, working through the pile of tasks.
