Vishal Steel Products

Vishal Steel Products is located at E/504 in Dahisar Sanand, which is right near the Western Express Highway. Being so close to the highway means we always hear the roar of the traffic, which never really stops. The facility is basically a large shed where we handle all the steel work. It’s a very industrial setting, with piles of metal sheets and rods stacked up against the walls. The smell of grinding metal and the sound of the cutters is just the normal background noise for us. We have a tiny corner partitioned off with some plywood that we use as an office. It’s got an old computer and a printer that jams every other day, but it gets the job done. We don't have any fancy brochures or a sales team. If someone wants something, they usually just walk in or give us a call on the mobile. The floor is always covered in metal shavings, so we have to be careful where we walk. During the monsoon, the sound of the rain on the tin roof is so loud we can’t even hear the phone ring. We eat our lunch in shifts because there isn't much space for everyone to sit at once. It’s a straightforward business, no frills or anything like that. We just focus on the steel and making sure the orders are ready on time. It’s a bit of a grind, but it’s our life.
