Virami Steel

Our place is over at Kamdhenu Estate on Nanubhai Desai Road in Hadapsar. If you know the area, it is quite busy with all sorts of industrial work going on. We deal with steel, so there is always a bit of noise from moving bars and plates around. The floor is usually covered in some dust, and we wear heavy boots all day. We have been in this part of Hadapsar for several years now. It started small but we kept adding more stock as we went along. Dealing with steel isn't exactly easy because everything is heavy and you have to be very careful with the loading and unloading. We spend most of our time taking orders over the phone or talking to people who walk into the estate looking for specific sizes. My cousin helps me with the accounts, though he is usually a bit behind on them. We don't really have a big marketing plan or anything fancy. We just stock what people need for their construction or workshop jobs. Sometimes the heat in the shed gets a bit intense during the summer months, but we have a few big fans that help us keep moving. It is a straightforward business. We buy steel, we store it, and we sell it to whoever needs it for their projects. If we don't have it, we try to tell you who might. That is how we run things here.
