V.I.P. Steel Centre

We’ve been here at Plot No. 15/A for quite some time now. Being on 3rd Khetwadi Lane means there’s always something going on outside our doors, especially with Alankar Cinema right nearby. People know us as V.I.P. Steel Centre, but mostly we’re just the guys who deal with steel all day long. It gets a bit crowded in this part of town, and finding parking for the trucks is usually a headache, but we manage. Inside the shop, things are usually piled up with different metal sections and pipes. It isn’t the fanciest place you’ll ever see. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and there’s always dust from the street, but that’s just how it is in this neighborhood. We start early in the morning and stay until the shutters go down in the evening. Most of our day is spent checking inventories or talking to regulars who come in looking for specific sizes. We don't really do much advertising or anything like that. People just find us by walking down the lane or asking around. Sometimes the noise from the cinema crowd gets a bit loud, but we’re used to it. We just keep our heads down and handle the orders as they come in. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting and moving heavy stuff, but it keeps us busy. That’s pretty much the story of our little spot here in Khetwadi.
