Vimal Steel Center

Vimal Steel Center is located over in Girgaon at Jayprabha Jadhav Nagar, specifically at 6/215. It is a busy little spot full of all kinds of steel items. We have everything from small fixtures to larger pieces of metal stacked up. The space at 6/215 is pretty packed, so you have to be careful where you step. Girgaon is an old part of the city with lots of character and narrow lanes. We have been part of the neighborhood for a while. The metal can be heavy and noisy when we are moving it around, but that is the nature of the business. We don't have a corporate headquarters. Our office is just a small corner with a stool and a telephone. We write down the orders on yellow pads and keep them on a spike. It is a very old-school way of doing things, but it works for us. We know our customers by their faces and their families. When the sun hits the steel in the afternoon, the whole place glows. We stay busy with the local builders and the people living in Jadhav Nagar. We don't have any big goals other than keeping the shop running and the inventory full. It is hard work, especially in the humidity, but we like being here in Girgaon. It feels like home to us at this point. We don’t do any marketing, just people coming in when they need steel.
