The office is tucked away in 52/1239 Kannamwar Nagar-1 in Vikhroli East. If you’ve ever been to this part of Mumbai, you know how crowded it gets during the day. We have been in this building for several years. It is a bit of a walk from the main station, so we usually take a rickshaw if the weather is too hot. Inside, the space is mostly filled with samples and ledger books. We trade a variety of things, and the inventory is always changing depending on what’s in demand. Some days we are sorting through textiles and other days it might be small hardware parts. My desk is right by the window, which is nice for light but gets dusty from the street. We have a small pantry where we make coffee, but it’s mostly just a place to store our lunch boxes. The neighbors in the building are mostly other small businesses, so there is always someone moving something in the elevator. It can get frustrating when the lift stops on every floor. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It is just a few of us handling the orders as they come in. We try to answer the phone quickly, but sometimes everyone is busy in the back room checking the stock. It’s a busy life here in Vikhroli, but we like the routine of it.
