Vikash Machine Tools

Vikash Machine Tools is located at 3 Santacruz East, right near the Imax Adlabs and Bhakti Park area. It is right on the Anik Wadala Link Road, which is usually a mess of traffic. We are quite close to the Santa Railway Station, so you can hear the trains passing by if the shop is quiet, which it rarely is. The location is a bit confusing for people visiting for the first time because of the link road layout. We have a lot of heavy machinery crammed into our space. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze navigating between the grinders and the workbenches. The floor is concrete and has seen a lot of wear over the years. We do a lot of tool work for different industries around Mumbai. The air is often heavy with the smell of metal and coolant. There are stacks of iron bars in the corner waiting to be cut. We don't have a big staff, just a few guys who really know how to handle the manual machines. We usually have our lunch together on some stools in the middle of the shop. It’s a gritty, hardworking environment. We don’t bother with much cleaning beyond what is necessary to keep the machines running smooth. If you are coming from the station, it’s a short walk, but the heat can be tough. We just focus on the metalwork and getting the dimensions right.
