Our workplace is B/21 in the Maruti Complex over in Kharagaon, Kalwa. It’s part of the Thane district. If you know the area, it’s a lot of industrial buildings and small factories. Vidyut Matallics Pvt Ltd has been here for a while. It’s a busy complex with trucks coming and going all the time. Our unit is just one of many. Inside, there’s the sound of machinery and work getting done. It’s not a quiet office. We have metal parts and tools scattered around the floor. We try to keep things in some kind of order, but when you’re working with metal, it’s hard to stay perfectly clean. The staff is mostly local guys who have been with us for years. We eat lunch together in the small break area. It gets pretty hot during the summer, but we keep the big doors open for a breeze. We don’t have a fancy showroom. Most of our visitors are delivery drivers or people coming to pick up orders. We just focus on getting the production done right. It’s straightforward work. No one wears a suit here. We’re usually in our work clothes, covered in a bit of dust. It’s just a normal day at the shop for us in Kalwa. We’ve been at this address for a long time and don't plan on moving. It's our home base.
