Pathe Bapurao Marg is a hectic place to be on any given day. We are located at 437 in the Somji Building, right across from Islampura Street. Charni Road is always full of life, which also means it is full of traffic and constant noise. Our building is one of those older structures that has seen better days, but it is solid. We have stacks of steel tubing and plates squeezed into every available inch of the space. Walking through the warehouse area is like trying to navigate a maze. We have a small office area that is partitioned off with glass that has gone a bit cloudy over the years. The light from the street lamps filters in during the late afternoon. We deal with many different people, from contractors to small shop owners. The lift in the building is very old and sometimes gets stuck between floors, so we mostly just use the stairs if we are not moving heavy stuff. There is a small tea stall just outside our entrance where the owner knows exactly how much sugar we like in our tea. The walls are painted a dull green that has started to peel near the ceiling. We spend our days answering the phone, checking our stock, and loading up the handcarts for local deliveries. It is a tight, busy spot but it works for what we do.
