Living and working around Kandivali East means you deal with the traffic on SV Road every single day. Vibco Traders is tucked into number 13, and it’s been our home base for a good while now. It’s a busy stretch of the road, and sometimes the dust from the street gets into the front office, so we’re always wiping down the desks. We deal with various trading bits and pieces, mostly just moving boxes and keeping track of what’s coming in and what’s going out. The shop isn’t some high-rise office; it’s a practical space where we can get the work done. You’ll usually find a couple of us sitting near the entrance, probably having tea while we wait for a delivery truck to show up. It gets a bit hectic in the mornings when everyone is trying to get through SV Road, but once the shutters are up, we just focus on the day’s tasks. We don’t have a big sign or anything flashy, just the name on the door at unit 13. Most of the people who come by are regulars or folks from the nearby industrial blocks who know we’re here. It’s a straightforward life, really. We handle the paperwork, talk to the transporters, and try to keep things organized. Kandivali is a crowded place, but we’ve found our little corner here and we just keep it moving one day at a time without any fuss or complicated plans.
