Shiraz C Lalkaka Enterprises

We are located at 32-B in the Bombay Timber Market on Reay Road. Being at Shiraz C Lalkaka Enterprises means you get used to the smell of wood and sawdust pretty quickly. It’s an old market, and our space has been here for a long time. There is a lot of history in these streets, and you can see it in the way the buildings look. We deal with a lot of different things, and the office is usually piled high with papers and samples. It’s not a modern office by any means. We have old desks and chairs that have been around for decades. The market is always crowded with trucks loading and unloading timber, so it can be quite a struggle to move around. We usually start early before the heat gets too bad. Most of our day is spent talking to people who come into the market looking for specific materials. It’s a very traditional way of doing business, mostly face-to-face and over a cup of tea. We don't use much technology here, just the basics to keep things moving along. Sometimes it’s quiet, and sometimes it’s completely chaotic with everyone shouting and engines revving. That is just life in the timber market. We’ve seen many businesses come and go, but we are still here at the same spot on Reay Road, doing things the same way we have for many years now.
