Vcm Synthetics

We are located up on the 3rd floor of the Chanji Mulji Building at No. 83 A-B. Our building is on Dhanji Old Hanuman Lane, right in the heart of Kalbadevi in Mumbai. If you know Kalbadevi, you know how incredibly crowded and narrow the lanes can be. Getting here in the morning is always a bit of a challenge with all the handcarts and people rushing around. Once you get inside the building and climb up to the third floor, it’s a little bit quieter, though you can still hear the city through the open windows. At Vcm Synthetics, we have a pretty simple setup. It’s an old building, so the ceilings are high and the walls are thick, which helps a bit with the Mumbai heat. We have our desks pushed up against the walls to leave as much floor space as possible. There’s always a stack of ledgers or papers somewhere that needs looking at. We spend most of our day dealing with phone calls and the occasional visitor who manages to navigate the stairs. We usually order in some tea from the shop downstairs twice a day. It’s a tight space and the building feels its age, but it has a lot of character and history to it. We just show up, do our work, and head back out into the crowd at the end of the day. The wooden floorboards creak when you walk on them, and the paint is peeling in some corners, but it works for us.
