Our place is Gala No. 02 in the Surve Compound. We are pretty close to the Radha Krishna Temple in Dahisar East. You can often hear the temple bells while we are working, which is quite nice during a busy afternoon. It’s a small industrial unit, just a gala like many others in this area. We have been here for a while, and the Surve Compound is like a little community of its own. We mostly do industrial work, which involves a lot of heavy lifting and metalwork. The air always smells a bit like iron and grease. During the monsoon, the rain hits the tin roof so loud we can't hear the phones ringing. We have a few guys who have been with us for years. They know exactly where every tool is kept, even when the place looks like a mess. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. People find us because they know someone who worked with us before. It’s all very local. We start early in the morning before the sun gets too hot. Dahisar East is a crowded place, and getting into the compound can be tricky with all the small lanes. But we like it here. It’s a solid place to do business. We just focus on the work at hand and try to stay out of trouble. It keeps us busy enough throughout the whole year and we are happy with that.
