We operate out of Shreeji Darsan on Shantilal Modi Road in Kandivali West. It’s a fairly well-known building in this part of the suburb. Our space is on the ground floor, which makes it easy for people to just walk in off the street. Shantilal Modi Road is always packed with people shopping or walking to the station, so there’s a lot of energy right outside the door. Inside, we keep things very functional. There’s a main table where most of the talking happens and a couple of cupboards for all the paperwork. We’ve been here for a while, so the furniture has some scratches and the floor is a bit worn in the high-traffic spots. We don't spend money on fancy rugs or modern art for the walls. We just have what we need to get through the day's tasks. It’s a small operation, and we like it that way because we can keep track of everything ourselves. Sometimes the neighbors from the other shops pop in for a quick chat or a cup of tea. It feels more like a community spot than a cold office. We don't have a website or anything like that; we just rely on people knowing where we are and what we do. It’s a simple, honest way to run a business in a busy place like Kandivali. We just show up every day and do what we can.
