Our office is on the first floor of Building Number 2 in the Shriramnagar Cooperative Housing Society. It is in Mulund West on P. K. Road, which is a fairly busy part of the suburb. We are in Room Number 104, so you have to walk up the stairs since there isn't a big elevator or anything. The office is pretty simple with a few chairs and some filing cabinets that have seen better days. We spend most of the day looking at papers and talking on the phone. It is a quiet kind of work compared to the shops downstairs. We have a small window that looks out onto the street, so we can see the rain or the traffic while we work. The building itself is an older one, which gives the place a bit of a lived-in feel. We don't really have a big staff, just a couple of people handling the daily tasks that come up. Most people who come to see us are from the nearby residential buildings. We keep a pot of tea going most afternoons because it helps us stay focused. It’s not the kind of place with glass walls or modern art. We just have our desks, our calculators, and a lot of folders. Sometimes the ceiling fan makes a clicking noise, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. It’s a steady, calm place to get things done.
