Varun Dance Classes

Our dance space is located over at Pravasi Grah in Pratap Gunj, right in the middle of Kandivali East. It gets pretty loud in here once the music starts playing and the students start showing up for their sessions. We’ve got different groups coming in throughout the day, some kids who are just starting to learn how to move to a beat and some older folks who just want to stay active. The floor takes a lot of beating with all the stepping and jumping going on. It’s not a fancy studio with velvet curtains or anything like that. It’s a practical space where we spend hours practicing the same steps until everyone gets them mostly right. Sometimes the snacks after class are the best part for the younger kids. We spend a lot of time just counting out rhythms and showing people where their feet should go. It’s a local spot where people come to sweat a bit and have some fun away from their daily chores. Usually, you can hear the music from down the street when the windows are open in the evenings. We’ve been at this location for a bit now, and people in the Pratap Gunj area know us by the sound of the drums or the Bollywood tracks we play. It’s just a place to learn some moves and get better at dancing without making it too complicated or stressful for anyone involved.
