Global Merchants

Global Merchants is tucked away at No. 325 Samuel Street in the Vadgadi area of Masjid Bunder. Being so close to Masjid Station means there is always a lot of noise and people moving around outside. It's a crowded part of town, but it works for us because that is where all the trade happens. Our shop is just one of many in this busy stretch, but we have our own way of doing things. We deal with various goods coming through the port and the markets nearby. The air usually smells like spices or whatever the neighbor is unloading that day. Inside our place at No. 325, it’s mostly shelves and stacks of boxes. We don't have a lot of space for sitting around, so we spend most of our time on our feet or leaning over the counter talking to customers and loaders. The stairs are a bit narrow and the lighting could be better, but it’s home to us. Sometimes the traffic outside gets so backed up that we just walk down to the station to clear our heads. We’ve been at this spot for a good while now, seeing the shops around us change while we stay the same. It is a messy, loud, and honest way to make a living, and we wouldn't know what to do with ourselves in a quiet office.
